Who we are
Westmere Care Limited (Company No. 17308051), registered office 11 Church Road, Acton, London, W3 8PU, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website (westmerecare.co.uk).
Our registration reference with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) will be published here once registration is complete. If you have a question about how we handle your data, contact us at info@westmerecare.co.uk.
What data we collect
This website collects personal data only when you choose to submit it, through the Referrals, Careers or Contact forms. This may include:
- Your name and job title or organisation
- Your phone number and email address
- Any information you include in your message
Our public forms are not designed to collect information about individual children, and we ask that identifying details about a child are not submitted through them. Any such information shared with us as part of a referral is handled separately and securely, in line with our data protection and safeguarding procedures.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, referral or job application. Our lawful basis for processing this data under UK GDPR is legitimate interests — specifically, responding to enquiries from professionals and prospective staff — or, where relevant, taking steps prior to entering into a contract (for example, a recruitment or placement agreement).
How your data is handled
Enquiry and referral forms on this website are submitted via Formspree, a third-party form processing service, which delivers submissions to our email inbox. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry and referral messages for up to 12 months from the date of submission, after which they are deleted unless there is an ongoing reason to keep them — for example, an active referral or recruitment process. Recruitment data for unsuccessful applicants is retained for up to 6 months, after which it is deleted.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies, and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools of any kind. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no cookie preference to set and no cookie banner.
All of the website's files, including its fonts, are served from our own hosting rather than from third-party services, so simply browsing the site does not share your details with anyone else. Your information only leaves our website if you choose to submit one of our forms, as described above.
If we add analytics or any other tool that stores information on your device in future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before it is used.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain kinds of processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@westmerecare.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children's data
This website is intended for use by adult professionals (social workers, commissioners, prospective staff) rather than by children. As set out above, we ask that identifying information about children is not submitted through the public forms on this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
